Köln Holweide

Holweide is located on the right side of the river Rhine
in the east of the City of Cologne.
It is an interesting historical suburb with many original properties.

The Knight's castle, Haus Isenburg, dates back to the 12th century. It is a well known castle, build with a moat around it.

The coat of arms shows Holweide as a part of four towns. It was incorporated into the City of Cologne in 1914.

Today Holweide is a growing suburb with an increasing population. Located in the eastern part of Cologne, the distance to the city is short. By public transport one can reach the City in 22 minutes and the Cologne exhibition centre (Messe) in 13 minutes. Public transport tram stop "Neufelder Strasse" is only 5 minutes walk from our house.
